Hafez poems are mostly sonnets. Mostly his Divan includes about 500 sonnets. Other parts are some Scarecrows and Mathnawi. The main theme of his poems is the legendary characters. Tomb of Hafiz
Hafez tomb is located in Shiraz. He died in the year 792 AH. After that they buried him in the Shiraz cemetery. Some other Iranian famous people has been buried in that place. After 65 years, the ruler of Shiraz built a building for his tomb. It was ruined and rebuilt several times in different rules. Finally, the designer of current building is Andre Godard, the French archaeologist. To clarify, the building is in the middle of a large and beautiful garden. The tomb also has eight stone pillars that remained intact from the Mozzafarids period until now. The exterior of the tomb is similar to Turkish Dervish hats. It is a symbol of heaven.
